Membership Tracks

Speaker Series Track (50 Points)

The Speaker Series Track brings in a variety of executive-level IT Leaders who present about their career journeys and how they used MIS to advance their roles.

To Earn Credit For This Track, You Must:

  • Attend 6 out of 8 weekly meetings

Professional Development Track (50 Points)

The Professional Development Track focuses on providing members with tangible skills and actions to help build their career. Speakers are generally more recent graduates who can give real world advice on starting your career.

To Earn Credit For This Track, You Must:

  • Attend 4 out of 6 PD Workshops

  • Attend the live panel TBD

Technical Development (50 Points)

The Technical Development track is a three part workshop series that teaches relevant, technical skills at a beginner level. These workshops are a great way to add a hirable skill to your resume.

To Earn Credit For This Track, You Must:

  • Complete 2 out of 3 workshops

  • Submit the deliverables on the member
    Canvas by the end of the day

Coffee Chats (Membership Credit)

Coffee Chats is an open discussion event where a members can talk with speakers in a more laid-back environment. Speakers could range from faculty, to e-board members, to those in the field of MIS.

To Earn Credit For This Track, You Must:

  • Attend at least 1 live session

External Event (Pro Point Eligible)

The External Event track grants students the opportunity to visit firms, partner with other SPOs, meet employers at special networking events, etc. These events hold different Pro Point values, usually somewhere between 10 and 20, depending on the event you attend. These points will be awarded at the end of the semester. Check the AIS calendar for more information!

To Earn Credit For This Track, You Must:

  • Attend the external event

  • Submit the deliverables/scan the suitable

    code on the day of the event
